About Us

Founded by Ludwig Brandt, WALD is a Hamburg-based label shaped by the clothes he wears and the stories they carry. Familiar workwear, generous silhouettes and personal graphics form a wardrobe with a distinctly lived-in character.

The construction logo reinterprets the identity of his grandfather's business. On the bomber jacket, Ludwig applies it himself by hand in the Hamburg studio. For the reworked pieces, he personally sources and selects each pre-owned garment before it is carefully reshaped in the atelier. Differences in colour, fading and wear remain part of the design, giving every piece its own character.

WALD brings a personal approach to everyday clothing: considered proportions, hands-on finishing and details rooted in Ludwig's own life.
